A GARDEN centre chain is relaunching free in store demonstrations for budding gardeners.
Dobbies will be running Grow How sessions on the first Saturday of every month in its Hare Hatch store.
They will offer customers the chance to learn gardening skills from Dobbies’ horticultural experts.
Marcus Eyles, Dobbies’ horticultural director said his team enjoyed the sessions in previous years and are looking forward to providing growing tips to customers again.
“We can’t wait to get our gardening gloves back on for this interactive and popular experience,” he said.
“We would encourage everyone to come along and give these sessions a go, no matter their gardening experience.
“We’ll provide tips and recommendations to ensure you can make the most of your outside space, whether you have a window sill or sprawling lawn.”
Sessions will cover sustainability and growing your own vegetables, working with the seasons to maximise your outdoor space and how to create sought-after landscapes.
Each live demonstration will be around 15 minutes and include an opportunity ask the expert questions.
They take place on the first Saturday of each month at 10:30am, beginning this Saturday, March 5.
The topic is put the spring into your pots.
In April, the subject is create an Alpine garden, and May’s session is on sustainable gardening.
June’s talk is on caring for roses.
Experts will talk on instant summer colour and lawn care in July.
On the menu in August is how to grow your Christmas dinner, whilst September’s topic is grow your own fruit bowl.
