A Wokingham charity is planning to pull the stops out for their Summer Fun Day.
The Ollie Young Foundation (OYF) promises a fun packed occasion for all the family, with games, a raffle, face painting, stalls, barbecue and a licenced bar.
Each year organisers try to bring something new to keep the fundraising event entertaining for everyone.
This year stalls will feature local makers and sellers, with personalised pieces and handmade crafts and jewellery, and a raffle with substantial prizes.
Activities include: new games, face-painting, a seaside themed photo board, inflatables, circus skills, an aerialist, a free kids play area next to the bar, and possibly a special surprise from a galaxy far, far away.
Tokens for activities can be purchased on the day from the Ollie Young Foundation stall, and can be used at all OYF stalls, including the raffle, the licensed bar, as well as for cakes and the barbecue.
Most other stall holders (displaying a sign) will be accepting tokens too.
Visitors can also enjoy food from an authentic Italian food truck, homemade cakes, and can bring picnics if they wish.
OYF was inspired by Ollie Young, who after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, died12 years ago, the day before his sixth birthday.
His family, determined to keep his memory alive, set up the foundation in his name, to help other children.
Funds raised at the event will help them to continue, in Ollie’s name, their journey to find a cure or prevention for brain tumours in children.
The event is at Reddam House, Sindlesham, on Sunday, August 11, from 11am until 4pm.
Parking costs £1 per car.
