A BOROUGH gardening club will display a range of spring blossoms and produce this month.
Wokingham Horticultural Association (WHA) holds shows throughout the year, giving members an opportunity to compete against each other in categories that include: flowers, vegetables, fruit preserves, baking, handicrafts, photography and flower arrangement.
The group welcomes novices and new exhibitors, with show classes for young exhibitors aged school year 3 and under, and school age years 4 to 11.
The club runs a trading store for its members twice a week, and offers social opportunities and a chance to share gardening tips.
A craft group meets every Wednesday, and members can enjoy visits to RHS gardens as part of a programme of activities and events throughout the year.
The group says that whether people’s area of interest is roses, dahlias, fruit or vegetables, they are sure to find like-minded gardeners willing to share their enthusiasm and knowledge.
WHA’s Spring Show will take place at St Paul’s Parish Rooms, Wokingham, on Saturday, March 29.
Doors open to the public from 2pm until 4pm, with prize giving at 3.45pm.
Admission costs £2 for adults, and is free for children.
