What can I say about last week. For me, it was an amazing week as we got to celebrate a good friend’s upcoming wedding with an awesome Stag Do celebration. It was an absolute belter and I am sure if you see me, I can fill you in on the funny details.
I love celebrations I really do. In fact, I make it a daily habit to celebrate at least one thing.
A tactic I have used with many clients is called the three things method.
Every night, list out and briefly describe three events that happened that day that you are proud of and also make you happy. Doing this REFLECTIVE practice every night makes you feel great and the longer you do it for, the better it gets.
Now before I get into this week’s awesome content let’s get you ready for action … ready to take ownership of the best tool you hav e… your mind:
- Be YOU this week but be the best version of YOU.
- Be YOU this week and give it your all staying true to your values.
- Be YOU this week and don’t be scared of standing out for being AWESOME compared with everyone else…
- Be YOU this week and STATE YOUR DAYS MISSION FROM THE MOMENT YOU WAKE UP.
- OPTIMISE your Morning rituals and watch the OPPORTUNITIES come your way.
- OPTIMISE your diet and watch the OPPORTUNITY to be energized lead you on an awesome path.
- OPTIMISE your state of mind and allow your brain to offer up OPPORTUNITIES that may have been suppressed for some time.
- OPTIMISE your training and I am sure with Summer being just around the corner, the added emphasis on the way you look, and function, will give you some OPPORTUNITIES.
- OPTIMISE your environment and allow the positive to whoop the negative in every possible way. Eradicate the negatives and I just wonder what OPPORTUNITIES will land at your feet.
- OPTIMISE your rest and recovery and I truly believe the impossible will become the possible. OPPORTUNITIES occur when you are at your best, you are at your best when you are at an optimal state of performance.
And finally, OPTIMISE YOU. What do you stand for? What matters to you? What OPPORTUNITIES would change your life?
Last week I ended the article with a quick summary of what we were talking about on REFLECTION. To remind you, be part of a team, take the first step and be brave, believe in the greater good, leave your comfort zone and finally own your mornings and elevate your life. Some simple learning points right there, I wonder how many of them you have implemented them so far? If you haven’t, start today.
So, onto the topic of this week and that is funny old thing … CELEBRATING.
I mentioned it at the start of the article and I really do believe hugely in this. I say often; don’t confuse confidence with arrogance. Don’t feel that celebrating is a bad thing. It’s great to celebrate, it feels awesome to just enjoy the moment … go out and celebrate today … it’s something you could do right this instant.
Stop saying these negative things about yourself. Look in the mirror and find something about yourself that’s positive and celebrate that!
It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.
So, what should you bare in mind when celebrating a success or a happy moment? How about we use the word MAGIC to help us learn and understand what you can do today to make the magic of celebration happen for you.
M – Meaningful – It has to mean something to you. Don’t just celebrate for the sake of celebrating. It has to be of importance for you. It could be for family, a personal achievement, a loved one’s achievement or something as simple as making your child smile from ear to ear that day.
A – Awareness – The first step to celebrating is opening up your mind to a state of awareness. You have to be open and allow for the law of attraction to take effect. Get in a positive state and a resourceful state and then get celebrating…it’s an amazing thing.
G – Growth Factor – Use the celebration to grow, to learn, to move forward. When you celebrate, really feel the emotions deep inside you and then harness those powers to move forward and then keep recreating those moments. Life is all about growth and expanding those thoughts.
I – Insightful – Be intense, be perceptive, think outside the box. I have celebrated the extremes from the birth of a child and the happiness it brought all the way to the celebration of something small and simple like arranging my work unit in a more efficient way. It really is up to you.
C – CELEBRATE – Go and do it. Go out and celebrate wherever and whenever. Do it in private, do it in public, do it in bed, do it in the car, do it everywhere. The ripple effect is what will happen, trust me on that.
