WITH just under a week to go, a Wokingham group is preparing to celebrate 10 years of connectivity in the town.
Wokingham Positive Difference, the creation of Graeme and Denise Hobbs, has been contributing to the life of the borough by bringing together people from local government, community groups and local businesses to network, exchange ideas and news, and to collaborate.
The group meets each month in Wokingham’s Town Hall, to hear a talk from a visiting speaker, to interact, hear the latest civic news, and to enjoy breakfast together.
At its special 10 year celebration the group will also be treated to cake.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity to look back at what has been created over the last decade,” said Graeme, “ to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people, and see the range of businesses that make up the Wokingham Positive Difference community.
“The morning will include networking, a short celebration of the journey so far, and a chance to see some of the businesses, people and connections that have helped shape Wokingham Positive Difference over the years.”
The event will take place at Wokingham Town Hall on Friday, June 26, from 8am until 10am.
The group expects a strong turnout.
Booking is essential, with tickets for non-members costing £25.
