RESIDENTS throughout the borough will be putting on gloves and sturdy shoes to help make Berkshire a cleaner and tidier place to live and work this month.

Apart from keeping local areas clean, community litter picks are also an opportunity to meet new people and to help children learn about the importance of looking after the environment.

Organised litter picks organised by Arborfield and Newland, Barkham, Charvil, Finchampstead, Remenham, Sonning, Swallowfield, Twyford, Wargrave, and Winnersh Parish Councils, Wokingham Town Council, and Woodley Adopt A Street (WASP) will all take place on the weekend of March 22 and 23.

Groups will tidy at the following locations:

Arborfield Parish Office, and Arborfield Green Community Centre on Sunday March 23, from 10am until 1pm.

Organiser: Hilary Carless, Email: parishclerk@arborfield.org.uk
