A Berkshire man has been jailed for seven years and nine months after being convicted of two robberies, including the theft of a luxury watch from a man walking with his family.
Massinissa Tellia, 31, of Church Street, Chalvey, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday, 27 July.
He was found guilty by a unanimous jury verdict of two counts of robbery.
One of the offences took place in Windsor on 6 July last year, when Tellia and another man took a Patek Philippe watch from a victim’s wrist as he walked through the town with his family.
Ayman Zanati, who was also involved in the robbery, pleaded guilty last year and was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
Tellia was also convicted of a second robbery which was investigated by the Metropolitan Police.
He was arrested on 11 November last year and charged the following day.
Detective Constable Kathryn Shortland, who investigated the case, said Tellia had targeted victims in two separate robberies.
“Tellia targeted victims in two separate robberies, using force and intimidation to steal high-value property,” she said.
“These offences had a significant impact on those affected, who were simply going about their daily lives when they were targeted.
“I am pleased that Tellia has now been held accountable for his actions and will spend a substantial period in prison.”
She added that Thames Valley Police would continue working with other forces to identify offenders and bring them before the courts.
