A NEW monthly group for adopted children holds its first meeting this month in Earley.
The group aimed at youngsters aged between five and 12, will use different forms of art to help build social skills.
A music therapist from Reading-based charity, Whole Step, and a play therapist will also help run sessions.
A spokesperson for the group said: “Children will be split into age groups. Parents are required to stay for the duration of the session in the room next door where we will hold our Adopter’s Support Group.
“We welcome people at the Adopter’s Support group without a child attending.”
The opening meeting takes place on Saturday, September 9, between 10am and noon at Lower Earley Baptist Church in Maiden Place.
There is no charge for Berkshire children and £10 for non-Berkshire children.
Places should be booked in advance.
