Since their creation in 2018, the climate stripes have become a ubiquitous symbol of climate change and an emblem for climate action.
The bright colours and simple, clear message they carry has given the stripes universal appeal, hammering home the fact that the impacts of climate change are already being felt in all corners of the world.
The stripes were made freely available from showyourstripes.info in June 2019, and were downloaded more than a million times within a week of the website launch.
They have been shared on social media by the likes of the United Nations and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and on television channels around the world, adorn the cover of a forthcoming book on climate change by Greta Thunberg, and have been spotted on the Main Stage at Reading Festival, on the London Fashion Week catwalk and on badges worn by US senators.
