MP Clive Jones joined Town Centre officer Warwick HeskIns and Cllr Mark Ashwell, executive member for business development, to show support for local businesses in Wokingham and Twyford during the annual Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday takes place at the end of each year, which celebrates the UK’s 5.45 million small businesses and encourages the nation to spend and shop small.
Following the visits, Jones said: “Small local businesses are the heartbeat of our communities, and it is more important than ever to show our support by shopping and buying local.
“It was a fantastic opportunity to visit so many of these businesses throughout Wokingham and Twyford and to hear directly from owners about the issues impacting their small businesses in my constituency.
“Small businesses have so much to offer, from high-quality fashion to locally brewed beer, and I encourage everyone to support our local businesses by shopping small and shopping local.”
