In the Combined Counties League Premier North, Wokingham Town slipped to a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Risborough Rangers. Brandon Curtis was on target for Town, in the match that also saw Tony Haworth make his 100th appearance for the club.
Reading City drew 0-0 with high-flying Virginia Water.
Westwood Wanderers booked their place in the Berks & Bucks Charles Twelftree final with an emphatic 8-0 win over Stoke Manderville. Finchampstead can still join them in the final. Their match at Great Missenden was postponed, and is set to take place on Saturday.
Wargrave enjoyed a 6-5 victory at Mortimer Reserves in the second round of the BTC Senior Cup.
With all Premier Division matches in the Bracknell Sunday League falling victim to the weather, attention turned to Division One, where Berks United remain top on goal difference, despite going down 3-1 at second-placed Finchampstead Reserves.
Third-placed Ashridge Park, who have four games in hand on the leaders, can go top if they win those matches. On Sunday they went down 4-2 to AFC Dukes in the quarter finals on the league’s senior cup.
Woodley Saints Sharks maintained their place at the top of Division Three with a 1-0 win at Finchampstead B, and Berks United Wolves opened up a five point gap at the top of Division Four with a 5-3 win against Berks County Vets.
Woodley United Ladies were on the wrong end of a 7-1 scoreline at Oxford City in the Premier Division of the Southern Region Women’s Football League. Reading lost 8-0 at Winchester City Flyers, and Tilehurst Panthers went down 6-2 in their Division One North match at Ascot United Reserves.
Finchampstead Ladies won 2-0 against Yateley United in Division One of the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League.
Caversham AFC were held 0-0 at home to Easington Sports in Division Two, while Tilehurst Panthers Reserves suffered a 5-3 defeat at Newbury in Division Three West. In Division Three South, Barton Rovers beat Wokingham Town 2-0, and Wargrave beat Sandhurst Wolves 2-0.
