Police have issued an appeal to locate a man wanted in connection with the assault of a woman in Berkshire earlier this year.
Thames Valley Police said Jack Williams, 24, is being sought following an incident in High Street, Crowthorne, just after midnight on New Year’s Day.
Witnesses reported seeing a 21-year-old woman being put in a headlock and dragged to the ground by an offender.
The victim suffered injuries to her face, head and leg, as well as symptoms of concussion. She was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
Mr Williams is described as being 5ft 10in tall with dark hair in a buzz cut.
Police said the incident took place in Crowthorne, but Mr Williams is also known to have links to Sandhurst and Camberley.
Investigating officer PC Daniel Scott said: “This was a violent assault which left the victim with head and facial injuries.
“We are seeking Jack Williams in connection with this incident and are asking for the public’s help to find him.
“If you see Williams do not approach him, instead call 999.
“If you have any other information about his whereabouts you can call the force on 101 or leave details via our website, quoting investigation reference number 43260000052.”
Police urged anyone with information to come forward.
