2022 Candidates
Prue Bray, Lib Dem

I have lived in Winnersh with my family for more than 30 years. I have been a Borough Councillor for Winnersh since 2000, and am also a parish councillor, a school governor and a trustee of more than one local charity. Outside politics I enjoy quizzes and reading crime fiction. In 2021 I received an award for exceptional leadership from Sir Ed Davey, Leader of the Liberal Democrats.
Steve Lloyd, Green
Llewelyn Reed-Jones, Labour
Kirsty Ross, Conservative
I have lived in Winnersh for over 15 years, having moved here with a young family. I have seen lots of change both good and not so good during this time. Winnersh has seen much growth and now has a much larger community that needs a strong voice.
Since arriving in Winnersh, I have always been one to help wherever I can. I took on the running of a baby and toddler group at St Marys Church to ensure this supportive group did not have to close. At the same time, I volunteered to manage bookings at the church hall.
I have been an active committee member at Greenwood pre-school and Winnersh Primary School and more recently I started up a youth group at Rainbow Park Hall with support from Wokingham Borough and Berkshire Youth. We need youth facilities in Winnersh to offer our younger residents a safe and warm place to spend time with their friends.
I am also a member of Wokingham Community Garden Projects who manage the orchard in Winnersh Meadows. We recently worked with Freely Fruit to plant a further 100 trees in the orchard.
Winnersh needs a Conservative councillor to ensure that our needs are front and centre at the top table. I can assure you, that with your support, as your Conservative councillor, I will listen to any issues you may have. I will do my best to resolve these working with the Leader, other Councillors and our local MP.
