2022 Candidates
David Davies, Conservative
I have lived in Wokingham for over 13 years through the many changes in that time. If elected I will work to ensure your priorities are addressed and fight inappropriate or excessive development, especially ensuring that there is no housing development on the Pinewood site.
Whilst housing numbers are set from central government, I will be effective in continuing to campaign to ensure that Wokingham Without no longer bears the brunt of these numbers and where development is inevitable that the roads, schools, shops and surgeries are planned and delivered to minimise any impact on existing residents.
With a son at school in Wokingham Without I am keenly aware of the many traffic bottlenecks and the impact of roadworks at these peak times. I commit to working with Wokingham and Bracknell Forest Borough Councils to ensure that roadworks are coordinated intelligently to minimise disruption, work to mitigate the bottlenecks that do exist, and ensure roads are properly maintained.
Finally I want to keep our green spaces green, protect our environment and ensure there is a proper legacy for future generations to enjoy.
I am passionate about listening to your needs and improving everyone’s lives in the amazing ward of Wokingham Without.

Jordan Montgomery, Lib Dem

I have lived in Wokingham Borough since I was one year old and I love the area as a safe, green borough with a friendly community. I am standing for election because I want to push for more smaller, affordable housing to help local first time buyers; protect/improve cycle paths and footpaths to encourage greener transport options; to stop the reckless spending of the current administration and reduce the Council’s rising debt. I am a local government officer, and previously worked for a mental health charity. Outside of work and politics my main interests are cartography and football.
