WOKINGHAM and Emmbrook were one of the sides to beat the winter snap and they took full advantage with a thumping 8-0 win over Thame Rangers.

The victory lifts Sumas up to fifth in Hellenic Division One East with Josh Pearson leading the way with a hat-trick.

Thame’s keeper had a busy day

Further goals came from James Charlton, Elliott Rushforth, Sam Lawrence, Jordan Blake and Ben Winship.

Up in the Hellenic Premier, BINFIELD are up to sixth after leapfrogging Brimscombe and Thrupp by beating them 2-1 in Gloucestershire.

Brad Pagliaroli and Ian Davies put the Moles 2-0 up at half-time and despite a second half Christopher Greenough strike, the visitors held on.

But there was more disappointment for WOODLEY UNITED, who slip into the bottom three after a fifth straight defeat.
