Wokingham’s extraordinary people were celebrated last night as Wokingham Today, in association with Wokingham Borough Council and Wokingham Communities Vision 2035, presented the second annual edition of the Wokingham Community Awards.
Attendees were treated to drinks and food provided by both Tesco’s Wokingham and Den 42 on arrival before the awards ceremony began at All Saints Church.
A total of nine awards were handed out with 10 different winners.
The awards were presented by Graeme Hobbs, who runs local accountancy firm Hobbs Granger Roitt and is the founder of the networking group Wokingham Positive Difference and twice former president of the Wokingham Speakers (Toastmasters).
Among the attendees to the event were the borough Mayor, Councillor Adrian Mather, The High Sheriff of Wokingham Lucy Zeal and Honorary Alderman Angus Ross.
