WOKINGHAM’S annual May Fayre was, once again, a great success.

The event, which saw children’s rides and attractions, performers, food vendors, and around 130 stalls set up in the town on Bank Holiday Monday, is organised by Wokingham Lions Club.

After a grey and cool early start for organisers and stall holders, it gradually improved, and by the afternoon families were able to enjoy all the fun of the fayre in warm May sunshine.

As well as providing a day of fun entertainment in Wokingham, the fayre gives charities an opportunity to raise their funds and profiles, and is a major fundraiser for the Lions, in their annual mission to raise thousands of pounds for good causes in the borough.
