While older readers may be getting excited about the Antiques Roadshow coming to the Royal County this Sunday, younger readers may be happier to learn that some CBeebies superstars will be around too.
The Twirlywoos – adorable bird-like creatures who have mischievous adventures on screen – are a smash-hit with under fives and to celebrate their success, they will be flying into Reading this Sunday.
Twirlywoos are designed to make pre-school children smile, in a series described as “silly, fun and full of surprises”.Now, toddlers will be able to meet Great BigHoo, Toodloo, Chickedy and Chick at Toys “R” Us in Kenavon Drive, Reading on Sunday, June 26.
There will be two meet and greet sessions: 2.30pm-3.10pm and then 3.30pm-4.10pm.
During these times, the Twirlywoos will be available for fun, selfies and photos with little fans. Entry is free.
There are a range of Twirlywoos toys at Toys “R” Us, including soft toys big and small, talking Twirlywoos and bath toys, all perfect for encouraging creative play in your little one and stimulating their imagination.
The colourful creatures first came to our screens in February 2015 and are the creation of Ragdoll Production’s Anne Wood, the woman behind such hits as Teletubbies and In The Night Garden. She also created Pob, a Channel 4 children’s programme in the late 1980s.
