The first edition of what is hoped will become an annual event is set to take place in Wokingham this weekend.
Organiser Varun Prabhakar told Wokingham Today that the Wokingham Mela event, which will take place at Elms Field on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, will feature a variety of attractions, including Hong Kong and Indian bands, a choir competition, a variety of stalls, food vendors, a yoga workshop, and the Wokingham’s Got Talent competition.
The free to attend event, which he hopes will become an annual event, is supported by Wokingham town council.
It is a community-led initiative dedicated to bringing people together through the power of arts, culture, and shared experiences.
