Students at The Bulmershe School are celebrating one of the most successful years in the history of its sixth form, with record numbers of top grades and strong university and degree apprenticeship destinations.
A record 131 students completed 397 A Level and vocational qualifications this year.
The proportion of A* grades reached 11.6%, above the national average of 9.7%, with six students achieving three or more A* grades.
Overall, 28.7% of grades were A* or A, in line with the national figure.
The school said students made particularly strong progress in Further Mathematics, Spanish, English Literature, Mathematics, History and BTEC Sport, with all six subjects ranking among the top 10% nationally for progress.
Almost all students applying to university secured their first-choice destination, with some heading to Oxford and Cambridge.
Others have secured places on competitive courses including Medicine, Engineering and Veterinary Science.
The school also said an increasing number of students had secured degree apprenticeships with major employers.
Destinations include Thames Valley Police, Berkeley Homes, Thames Water and British Airways.
Headteacher Amanda Woodfin said the results reflected the efforts of students, families and staff.
“These record-breaking outcomes reflect the commitment of our students, the support of their families and the expertise of our staff,” she said.
“We congratulate the Class of 2026 and wish them every success.”
The school said the results represented a significant milestone for its sixth form, with students now preparing to move into higher education, apprenticeships and employment.
