KEEN growers will be displaying their home produced fruit, vegetables and flowers at a horticultural festival in Twyford this weekend.
Twyford & Ruscombe Horticultural Association’s Autumn Show will demonstrate the season’s colours and textures with a range of plants and produce for visitors to view.
Run by a small team of dedicated volunteers, whose mission is to promote gardening and allotment cultivation to all ages, the group celebrates its 70th year, and invites the borough to drop in and sample the best this season has to give.
Anyone can enter an exhibit for the Autumn Show, which members say is a great way to showcase a passion for growing, creating, making and baking.
There are categories for all kinds of blooms, beans (and other vegetables) bulbs, and berries, along with classes for home baking, crafts, floral arranging, photography and art works.
And with refreshments and home-made cakes also available, there will surely be something for everyone to enjoy.
The event will take place at Loddon Hall, on Saturday, September 6.
Doors will be open from 2pm until 4pm, and entry costs £1.
