Binfield bounced back from their first defeat of the season with a 4-2 win against Ardley United to move up to second in the table.
The Moles took an early lead through Danny Horscroft in the 6th minute but were quickly pegged back by the away side just two minutes later as Twarid Yusuf equalised as the game started at a frantic tempo.
Helmore continued his fine goal scoring form to put the Moles back in front after 23 minutes and then found the net for the second time in the match to give Binfield a 3-1 lead going into the half-time break.
Asa Povey found his shooting boots again having scored against Westfields on the weekend as he put the game to bed to score a fourth for the hosts just after the hour mark.
Ardley got on the scoresheet again through Mikey McKirnan to make the score 4-2 with just over 15 minutes left, but the Moles ensured that they would stave off any hope of a comeback from their opponents, earning a hard fought 4-2 victory.
Binfield move back up to second place in the table, just one point behind league leaders Westfields having played seven league matches. Binfield travel away to Tuffley Rovers on Saturday, October 5 in their next league fixture.
