WOODLEY will transform into Tinsel Town in June as the annual carnival takes a very glamorous turn.
The theme for this year’s event is At the Movies which will see Woodford Park double as Hollywood.
With over 7,000 people attending and more than 100 stalls from charities and local groups, a funfair, an arena full with acts from local groups, food outlets and a beer tent, the carnival is the biggest annual community event in Woodley and the surrounding area.
There will also be a classic car show, dog show, photographic show and flower show as well as fantastic displays from local enthusiast of model railways, traction engines, caged birds a mobile petting farm and so much more.
For younger visitors, the carnival has a range of free participation events including inflatable world and rides on the Smiley Train.

There are ample parking facilities adjacent to the carnival field in the local Town Centre pay and display car parks.
Making a return after a few years off, is the popular Carnival Race Night is being held on Saturday, April 27, at the Oakwood Centre in Woodley.
This special fundraising evening is in support of women in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) and the 2019 carnival charities.
You don’t need to be a race expert to enjoy the fun social evening. Organisers say that you can bring along family or friends or alternatively come along as an individual and join in the fun.
And the main event itself – Woodley Carnival and procession – will take place on Saturday, June 8.
