FREE expert advice was brought to residents of Wokingham looking to renovate and improve their homes earlier this month.
The first-ever Inspire Design Home Show, held on Saturday, October 12, saw home-improvers from across the borough attend a range of seminars to help them understand the ins and outs of planning regulations, landscaping, and smart technology.
Organiser of the event and Managing Director of local marketing company Digity, Chris Lunn said: “Lots of our clients showcase at national shows such as the Ideal Home Show and Grand Designs Live.
“We decided to launch a smaller, more local show to bring together a room full of experts offering free advice. It’s all about getting inspiration and generating some ideas.
“We’ve got forward-thinking architects here offering bespoke services. They even use virtual reality headsets so that you can walk around your home before it’s built.”
Also at the event were bespoke bathroom, furniture and interior designers advising a hoard of prospective customers on home improvements and utilizing redundant space.
With more than 100 people pre-registering for event tickets, Mr Lunn was incredibly happy with the turnout.
“It’s been lots of work,” he said. “But we wanted to do it right, and well. We can’t wait to grow the event year on year.”
