Plans have been approved that will see a vacant unit in Wokingham transformed into a MOT and vehicle repairs garage.
A change of use application has been approved by officers at Wokingham borough council for the 2,208 sq ft unit at Anglo Industrial Park on Fishponds Road, off Molly Millars Lane.
Officers noted: “The proposed change of use would not involve any physical changes to the buildings’ exterior and therefore there would be no harm to the character of the area in this respect.
“The proposed change in use poses no harm to neighbouring amenities considering that the site is approx. 50m from the nearest dwellinghouse, and given the surrounding context of established commercial units.
“Additionally, an hours of use condition is recommended to ensure that the use is limited to between 8am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 8am and 12:noon on Saturdays, and no work shall take place on Sundays or Bank Holidays.”
