READING FC boss Paul Ince gave injury updates to his team ahead of their Championship clash with Sunderland on Saturday.
The Royals are five games without a win in the league and will be looking to rectify that at the weekend.
Ince revealed that Reading will be without Sam Hutchinson, while Tom Holmes, Lucas Joao and Tom Ince are all doubtful.
“Hutchinson is a strange one. It’s not healing like we wanted it to,” said Ince.
“He’s had a couple of injections and has seen a specialist. It’s looking at least another three or four weeks.
“He’s so frustrated because he just wants to play and I think when he does play, we’re a better team.
“We haven’t really got that six that sits there and plays. He’s disappointed because he wants to get on the park.
“It will probably be another three or four weeks before we have him on the pitch.”
Ince also confirmed that Lucas Joao may miss out with a knee injury and he will make a final decision tomorrow morning, while Naby Sarr will be fit to return.
He continued: “We are still waiting on Lucas (Joao), he might miss out on Saturday with a knee injury.
“We’re waiting to make a last minute call tomorrow. We’ve got a six hour trip so if he isn’t right by tomorrow morning then that’s it.
“Tom Holmes did the warm up today. He’s got a knock on his calf, there’s a lot of blood and swelling in there and if that doesn’t go down, that will make my decision.
“Naby (Sarr) is looking good, he should be ready for the weekend so I’m pleased about that. To have him back will be great.”
