WOKINGHAM Lions Club teamed up with local charity Me2 Club to provide a day out to Marwell Zoo, for youngsters with additional needs and disabilities.
The event supported 11 families to take part, including 27 children and 26 parents, and the Lions provided packed lunches for everyone.
Some participants travelled under their own steam, but others on the coach hired by Wokingham Lions Club, were waved off by the group’s mascot Leo the Lion.
For one teenager, it was the first time they had been able to experience a zoo.
Comments following the Lions South Central District’s Fun Day included: “Thank you so much Wokingham Lions Club.
“It was such a lovely day.
“ We thoroughly enjoyed the activities at Marwell Hall and the zoo.”
And: “We had a fantastic day at one of our son’s favourite locations.
