Theatre in the Park is set to return to Wokingham town centre in August.
Wokingham town council has announced that the popular event will be back, with a new family show, Sleeping Beauty, adapted and performed by Bart Lee Theatre.
This summer panto fairy tale features upbeat songs and lots of comedy, as good and evil witches go to battle over a curse.
Will true love win the day? You’ll have to come to Elms Field and find out.
Hot on the heels of last year’s Jack and the Beanstalk, Bart Lee Theatre return with a new show that will entertain all ages from 3 – 103.
The free event will take place on Saturday, August 2. Performances will start at 11am and 2pm.
Cllr Barrie Callender, chair of arts and culture, said: “Theatre in the Park is one of the highlights of our summer calendar, and we’re thrilled to welcome Bart Lee Theatre back to Elms Field.
“Their take on Sleeping Beauty promises laughter, music and magic for all ages — and best of all, it’s completely free.
“It’s a brilliant way for families to enjoy live theatre in the heart of Wokingham.
“Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and join us for a fun-filled day under the open sky.”
