St Crispin’s school has shared its pride following this morning’s release of its GCSE results.
Railton Blyth, acting headteacher of the London Road school, said: “Pride does not do justice to how we feel today for our Year 11 community who have achieved exceptional results.
“This is a benchmark in the journey of life for our young people and nothing can compare to days like today, where together we celebrate years of dedicated hard work and resilience from our students, parents/carers, teachers and support staff, exemplifying the proverb that it ‘takes a whole village to raise a child’.
“It is wonderful seeing such joy and happiness amongst our families.
“I wish there was room to be able to list the results of all of our students, proud as we are, but to provide a snapshot a number of students achieved all grades 9-7m including Max Dowding who achieved ten grade 9s, Max Stroud nine grade 9s, Gordie Lam and Finn Yarrow seven, Jacob Wyeth six, Mackenzie Cook, Annabel Brittain and Jessica Harris five grade 9s.
“As a school, we are dedicated to a well-rounded education that nurtures character and life skills as well as high quality academic success and our students are now well prepared as they enter the next stage of their educational journey.
“I would like to thank all our students, parents and carers for choosing to be part of our St Crispin’s family for your wholehearted support, and I very much look forward to hearing of all your future successes as you will forever be part of our community.”
