Reading capitalised on a host of missed Brentford chances to take a 1-1 draw from Griffin Park on Saturday.
Bees defender Josh Clarke lashed in a first half opener, but Liam Kelly’s 70th minute penalty earned a share of the spoils.

VITO MANNONE: Got a hand to the goal but could not keep it out. A couple of dodgy moments with his feet, but a generally solid display – 6
CHRIS GUNTER: Typically reliable performance from the Welshman including a vital block in the first half – 6
PAUL MCSHANE: Struggled early on, picking up an early booking and was perhaps fortunate to stay on the pitch. Defended well after the break – 6
LIAM MOORE: Probably Reading’s best player. Made a crucial interception in the first few minutes, was nearly always in the right place defensively and won the penalty – 7* (star man)
TYLER BLACKETT: Had a tough time containing Florian Jozefzoon and Ollie Watkins, but stuck to his task before being subbed – 6
DAVE EDWARDS: Safe and steady first start for the club. Kept play ticking along but did not make much impact up front – 6
JOEY VAN DEN BERG: Helped protect the back four well and produced an industrious display in the middle of the park – 6
LIAM KELLY: Quite a few misplaced passes but his free-kick led to the penalty, which he tucked away superbly – 7
SONE ALUKO: Showed some neat tricks and looked lively, but a lot of what he tried failed to come off in the final third. Nearly scored a spectacular winner – 5
GARATH MCCLEARY: Still looking rusty as he works his way back to full fitness. Lost his man for the Brentford goal and played some sloppy passes in dangerous attacking areas – 4
JON DADI BODVARSSON: A day to forget for the Icelander. Missed two good early chances and was hooked off at half time – 4

ROY BEERENS: Injected some trickery in the second half and almost netted minutes after coming on – 6
JORDAN OBITA: Great to see him back, but looked a little off the pace at times against dangerous Brentford wingers. Picked up a booking – 5
LEANDRO BACUNA: Did not do much wrong during his 13 minute cameo but equally contributed little going forward – 5
