Travellers have moved on from land next to Bulmershe Leisure Centre in Woodley – but they’ve left a large mess behind including kitchen sinks and an old lawnmower.
A small encampment of caravans had been set up on Woodlands Avenue at the beginning of July but left earlier this week.
The vans had been close to The Bulmershe School, Goals soccer complex and new homes being built on the other side of the road.
Now they’ve gone – but in its place is a large pile of rubbish including an old lawnmower, which could have come in handy for mowing the overgrown grass on the Woodlands Avenue field.
The mess also includes a marble effect chopping board, old electrical wires and equipment, fairy lights from Christmas trees and old double glazing windows.
We’ve contacted the council for a comment.
