WOODLEY UNITED face Finchampstead in the pick of the Hellenic League ties this weekend.

Michael Herbert’s men were due to host the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup third round clash, but it will now be played at Finchampstead’s Memorial Ground (2pm) due to Rivermoor being unavailable.

Woodley go into the contest having just suffered their first league defeat of the season, 4-3 at the hands of Wokingham and Emmbrook.

As for Finchampstead, they ended a poor run last weekend by edging out Rayners Lane

thanks to a Freddie Barron strike.

Back in Hellenic Division One East action, Sumas will be looking to build on their impressive win against Woodley when they face a tricky trip to Bicester Town.

Reading FC let him go for nothing last year – now former Royals striker could fetch £2.5million fee this summer

Clive McNelly’s men are boosted by the return of skipper Will Day and James Charlton, who has this week rejoined the club from Binfield.

But they face a tough test up against a Bicester team who sit second in the table with seven wins from their 10 games so far.

Up in the Hellenic Premier Division, BINFIELD are looking for their first league win in exactly two months when they host Oxford City Nomads.

The Moles have slipped to 10th in the table having endured a woeful run of five defeats and one draw from their last six in the top flight, but come into the Oxford clash on the back of two successive cup victories against Oxford City Development and Windsor.

Elsewhere, EVERSLEY AND CALIFORNIA are hosting Cobham in Combined Counties Division One while there is a full list of action in the Thames Valley Premier Division, including a derby between HURST and WOODLEY UNITED RESERVES.

Away from football, it is a quiet week on the rugby scene with only REDINGENSIANS in action.

Mike Tewkesbury’s in-form side are unbeaten in five but will be tested by high flying Old Elthamians in National League 2 South.

There is a full card of action for both SOUTH BERKSHIRE and SONNING Hockey Clubs.

Sonning 1s host Marlow 2s while South Berkshire 1s travel to Newbury 2s while on the women’s side South Berkshire go to Oxford 3s and Sonning 1s go to Wallingford 1s.

BRACKNELL BEES will hope moving off the bottom of the EPIHL last weekend will give them the boost to grab some more points this weekend.

Bees won two of their three games last weekend, against Sheffield Steeldogs and Manchester Phoenix, and travel to Telford Tigers this Saturday before hosting Swindon Wildcats.

READING ROCKETS are also in action, away at Essex Leopards tonight, but READING FC have no game due to the international break.
