IT WAS one soggy step for man, and one giant puddle for Twyford-kind.
On Saturday, Twyford flocked to its annual firework display, hosted by the village’s Round Table.
The event included all the usual favourites: a fun fair, a barbecue staffed by Tywford Scouts, drinks, food stalls including the Rural Pie Company and, of course, the firework display and bonfire.

It was just a little wetter than previous years thanks to the heavy rain that plagued the evening.
Held at King George V’s Recreation Ground, a steady stream of visitors braved the conditions and warmed themselves up in front of the gigantic bonfire.
This year there was a space theme, and the guy was provided by Dolphin School to fit within the theme.

The event raises thousands every year for charity.
A post on the Twyford & District Round Table’s social media page said: “Thank you to everyone that braved the weather last night to support your local community”.
