A woman was threatened by a man with a knife in an attempted robbery in Bracknell at the weekend.
Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses following the incident.
At around 7:30am on Saturday, September 6, on Friendship Way, a man grabbed the victim, a woman in her twenties, around her neck and threatened her with a knife before forcing her into a wooded area.
She was then punched multiple times and suffered significant facial injuries.
The man fled the scene after searching the victim’s backpack, but no items were stolen.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for her injuries and has since been discharged.
The offender is described as a white man of slim build and tall. He was wearing a dark hoodie at the time of the incident.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Michael Lown of the Priority Crime Team, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this attempted robbery or who has any information that could assist our investigation to get in touch.
“I would ask anybody who lives or was driving in the area and may have CCTV, video doorbell or dash-cam footage to please check any recording and get in touch if it has captured anything that may help us.
