Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of aggravated burglary which occurred in Woodley.
At 11.25am on Tuesday, November 12, two offenders forced entry to a property in Woodwaye, armed with a crowbar and what is believed to be a firearm.
Two occupants of the property, two women aged 22 and 46, were threatened by the offenders who also demanded money.
The 46-year-old sustained bruising to her face, but did not require hospital treatment. The 22-year-old was not injured.
They left the scene on foot having not taken anything, and ran in the direction of Lytham Road.
Both offenders are described as black men, wearing dark clothing and high visibility vests.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable James Postans, of Newbury police station said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, during which two victims were threatened with weapons.
“This was a terrifying experience for them both, who have the right to feel safe in their own home.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the same time this incident happened, who may have seen anything to come forward.
“I would also appeal to anyone who recognises the physical description of these offenders. They may have been seen by anyone in the Lytham Road area as they made off on foot.
