BRACKNELL Forest Council is urging residents to get in touch with any information that will help them to identify fly tippers.
Six large and brightly coloured containers were dumped along Bishops Lane in Warfield late on Tuesday January 27, or early the next morning.
Bracknell Forest Council needs help to identify the offenders, and is appealing to anyone driving in the vicinity who may have seen someone carrying or offloading the materials or who has dash cam recording of the vehicle or incident.
People are also asked to get in touch if they have had someone collect the distinctive colourful carriers from their property, or if they recognise any of the items shown in the photographs.
Fly-tipping is not a victimless crime, says the council.
It damages the environment, poses serious risks to public health and wildlife, and costs taxpayers thousands of pounds every year in clean-up and enforcement costs.
Illegal dumping blights communities, undermines local pride, and diverts resources away from essential public services.
The council urges everyone to dispose of waste responsibly and report fly-tipping to help keep the borough clean and safe.
People found guilty of fly-tipping can face fines and/or a prison sentence, it says.
Anyone with information about the fly tip is asked to call the Public Protection Partnership: 01635 503242 or email: ehadvice@westberks.gov.uk quoting reference SR132068.
