WOKINGHAM needs your fabric – as long as it’s red, white or blue.
Wokingham in Bloom volunteers are about to get crafty, as they create handmade bunting for Wokingham Town Council’s Heritage Day celebrations.
Held each year, the free event celebrates the town’s history and culture through exhibits and artefacts, children’s activities and displays, and guided history walks.
This year, Wokingham volunteers are hoping to make tricolour bunting to transform the town on Heritage Day
They’re looking for scraps of red, white and blue cloth, and ask anyone with any spare fabric tucked away in a drawer, sewing box or craft cupboard, to kindly donate it.
They promise to give it a new lease of life, and say that every little piece helps.
Donations will become part of a community bunting display on Saturday, September 19.
Fabric donations can be dropped off at the Information Centre at Wokingham Town Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, between 10am and 2pm.
