Organisers of Hurst’s pantomime have had to cancel their January production.
But, undeterred, they hope to spring back onto the stage at the start of 2025.
Co-chair of the panto Claire Lawrence said: “Unfortunately our main director, due to time pressure and other commitments, had to withdraw.
“We were unable to fill that role again. We will review the situation in the middle of next year and hope to bring the panto back with gusto for 2025.”
The panto they’d hoped to stage at Hurst Village Hall this coming January was Revenge of Hook, a kind of sequel to Peter Pan.
In 2022, their tenth production, A Lad in the Wild West, was performed to sell-out audiences. That panto told the classic Aladdin story but set in Nevada for a cowboy-themed twist.
The Hurst pantos, usually performed every two years, receive rave reviews.
