Staff at Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy recently volunteered in support of local charity, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice service.
Alexa McQueen-Turner, Anne Smith, Wendy Turk, Caitlin Mackenzie, Zahra Ashraf, Sue Reeves and Sophie Stone, helped to run a pop-up toy shop in The Oracle, raising £248.49 for the charity, which Blandy & Blandy continues to support alongside Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
The firm’s Caitlin Mackenzie said: “It was a pleasure volunteering at the pop-up toy shop for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.
“As ever, we’re very proud to support a charity that does such important work in the community for children and their families.”
Opened in 2007 in Maidenhead, Alexander Devine is a children’s hospice service providing essential support to families of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across Berkshire and the surrounding areas.
This spring, the charity’s founder and chief executive, Fiona Devine, was the keynote speaker at a sell-out event hosted by Blandy & Blandy at Reading town hall to celebrate International Women’s Day.
