Planning officers have approved plans for Wokingham’s Forest of Imagination project at Dinton Pastures Country Park.
A series of events are set to bring a celebration of nature-themed art and cultural experiences to residents.
The event will culminate in a four-day showcase at Dinton Pastures at the end of May, where a showcase will feature new sensory installations co-created by professional artists and schools, incorporating ideas from local community groups.
There will also be participatory activities, performances and digital experiences for visitors to enjoy, and deepen their connections to nature.
Last week, council planning officers approved a planning application for a Certificate of Lawfulness for the installation of a series of art and sculpture installations on the south side of Dinton Pastures Country Park.
The works form part of the Wokingham borough Forest of Imagination Project, an initiative designed to foster public engagement with cultural and artistic experiences while enhancing the park’s recreational and aesthetic value.
The proposed installations comprise a timber signboard, eight steel shape sculptures, 22 timber totem poles, and three combined timber and steel signage boards.
