AN EMMBROOK church is putting on a table top games event for the local community as part of its year of 50th birthday celebrations.
St Nicholas Church, which meets each week at Emmbrook Village Hall, is preparing an afternoon of games and refreshments for villagers to enjoy.
Known affectionately by parishioners as St Nick’s, the first of its events to mark 50 years in the heart of Emmbrook was a community showcase.
This gave the borough an opportunity to discover the wide range of community groups that regularly meet at and use Emmbrook Village Hall.
Now the church is opening the doors to welcome anyone who would like to play board games.
People are invited either just to come along and join a table game, or to bring along their own favourite game to play and share with others.
The free event will take place at Emmbrook Village Hall, on Saturday, June 13, from 3pm until 5pm.
Refreshments of tea and cake will be provided.
