READING will kick off their Championship campaign at the Madejski Stadium on August 3rd when they host Sheffield Wednesday.
The Royals will also end their league campaign with a home fixture as they face Swansea City on the final day of the season on Saturday 2nd May
The first away trip of the season will be at Hull City on the second weekend of the season, while Blackburn Rovers will host Reading for their final away trip of the campaign.
Other key dates for the season include Boxing Day, where Reading will play Queens Park Rangers at the Madejski Stadium before travelling away to Preston North End three days later. The hectic Christmas period of fixtures will be rounded off with an away trip to newcomers Fulham on New Year’s Day after they were relegated from the Premier League last season.
