ROTARY Club members of Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Bracknell, and Wokingham have had to take the difficult decision to cancel their planned charity walk in the grounds of a Crowthorne school.
“Unfortunately we’ve had to take the difficult decision to cancel the New Years Day Walk event due to adverse weather forecast and visitor safety,” said organiser James Berkeley.
The event was designed to blow away the holiday cobwebs, and to raise money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance and other local good causes.
It had been planned to take place in the grounds of Wellington College on Wednesday, January 1, from 10.30am until 2pm, but due to forecasted high winds and heavy rain, the stroll has now been withdrawn.
