More than 1,000 residents of Wokingham Borough have expressed an interest in installing solar panels in recent months.
Since Wokingham Borough Council launched its Solar Together initiative in June, some 1,300 people throughout the borough have signed up – the highest figure in Berkshire. .
Solar Together provides homeowners and small-medium business owners with the chance to install solar panels and battery storage through a group-buying scheme to secure competitive prices.
It is the only group buying scheme operating locally.
