Wokingham Lions Club is inviting applications for pitches and stalls at this annual May Fayre.
Regarded as one of the highlights of the year, the 28th edition of the event is set to take place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6.
The May Fayre takes place throughout Wokingham town centre, with all funds raised going to support charities and good causes in the Wokingham area.
It also provides local charities and organisations with an opportunity to raise additional funds for themselves and promote their activities.
Wokingham Lions Club is now inviting stallholders to apply for pitches and stalls.
Locations are allocated on a first come basis.
All applications and payments must be in before March 31 to allow for pitch allocation, however early applications are advised to avoid disappointment.
May Fayre chairman Andy Goffin is looking forward to this year’s event.
He said “The Wokingham May Fayre started in 1995, organised by the Wokingham Lions Club.
It is one of the largest street fairs in the south of England.
“The main goal of the May Fayre is to provide a low-cost and fun family event, and to enable local charities and other groups to raise money for their causes.
“It’s a wonderful day out for families and people of all ages, where we celebrate the town’s culture on the stage, with many local groups performing.
“Wokingham Lions Club is working very hard to make it a success. We also always have tremendous support from our Town Council.”
