Wokingham has been highlighted as one of the best commuter towns for families south west of London.
The website Neighbourhood Finder said Wokingham is a good option if you want a well-rounded town feel with strong everyday amenities.
It said: “For most families, the best commuter move is the one that balances school options, day-to-day calm and realistic value, not the one that looks best on a single metric.
“Our overall index is designed to show where that balance is strongest across the south west commuter belt.
“Start with Haywards Heath and Wokingham if you want a strong overall short-list that can suit different commuting patterns.
“Wokingham is a consistent choice if you want a well-rounded town feel and you like having amenities close by for non-commute days.”
The website said ii it combines six equally weighted indicators: Ofsted outcomes, recorded crime, green space, broadband, family household share, and price levels.
“Metrics are normalised within the south west commuter belt set, and missing values are filled with the median.
“Sources include Ofsted, Police-UK, Ofcom, the Offive for National Statistics, OS Open Greenspace and HM Land Registry.”
