A WOKINGHAM grant-giving organisation that exists to lift people out of poverty, is making a new grant available to charities, schools and community groups that are working to improve lives in Wokingham Borough.
Wokingham United Charities’ (WUC) Thrive Grant Fund offers funding of between £5,000 and £10,000.
It is available to support project-based initiatives that will boost, wellbeing, tackle financial hardship and deliver lasting impact.
“We’re especially keen to hear from groups that promote skill development, and employment access, mental health and wellbeing, financial education and debt advice, and food security or holistic community support,” says the charity.
Wokingham United Charities expects that demand for the grant will be high, and urges registered charities, schools, and local community groups operating within Wokingham Borough to apply quickly.
The grant is not for core costs; instead groups will propose a specific project, which they must be able to deliver within 12 months of receiving the grant.
The last date to apply for the Thrive Grant Fund is Friday, June 20 – but hurry, as the charity may be forced to bring the closing date forward if applications far exceed available funding.
