Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy, which has offices in Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Wokingham, has helped to raise close to half a million pounds in future income for Alzheimer’s Society.
The firm’s Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team recently received a certificate of excellence from the charity, in recognition of the firm’s “incredible contribution”.
Blandy & Blandy has been supporting Alzheimer’s Society’s ‘Will to Remember’ scheme since 2022 and in the past 12 months has drafted 16 Wills, including gifts to the charity, and helped to raise an estimated future income of £464,500.
A spokesperson for Alzheimer’s Society said: “Dementia remains the UK’s biggest killer, but thanks to accelerating breakthroughs, we now have a genuine chance of beating it.
“Gifts in Wills, including those given through Will to Remember partners Blandy & Blandy, play a vital role – funding over a third of our work and unlocking more progress for generations to come.”
Caroline Casagranda, a partner in Blandy & Blandy’s team, added: “We are proud to continue to support Alzheimer’s Society, a fantastic charity undertaking vital research and work to support people with Dementia and their loved ones.
“Thank you to colleagues in our team and to our clients who have participated in the Will to Remember scheme.”
