Four members of the Finch Coasters running club took part in last weekend’s London Marathon.
Suba Thomas, Rebecca Margetts, Rob Sparkes and Hannah Jane Kilby successfully completed an epic 26.2 mile race.
the support and crowds were fantastic.
Suba ran for the Brain tumour charity – a cause close to her heart following her daughter’s successful treatment for a brain tumour,
Hannah ran for the Samaritans.
She said: “The crowd at Tower Bridge was incredible in particular, and I’m so glad I had my name on my vest as I had people cheering me on throughout.
“I’ve entered the ballot eight times, but it was worth the wait’.
Both Suba and Hannah raised huge amounts for their charities.
Rob recorded an impressive 2hrs 55mins.
Rebecca added: “I was the last to finish, and I had the most amazing day representing the amazing Finch Coasters running club.
“I was lucky enough to win the club place given by the London marathon, and it was a real privilege.
“The atmosphere was absolutely electric, and we were all so proud to represent the running club and our charities.”
