AS STUDENTS at a Wokingham school discover their long-awaited GCSE results, their headteacher shares his pride in them.

St Crispins headteacher Peter Griffiths, said: “Today we have celebrated some incredible exam results with our Year 11 students.

“We are immensely proud of all of their hard work, determination and effort.

“It has been a pleasure in my first year of Headship at the school to be celebrating these results which will take them forward to the next stage in their education and training.”

Results Day is a key moment in students journey towards their destination, he continued.

“We are privileged to be able to share in their success.

“Our students have done themselves proud this year and we are grateful for the support that has been offered by our wonderful community of parents and teachers along the way.”

The school is proud of all its students across a range of abilities.

“We wish we could celebrate everyone’s individual achievements,” continued Mr Griffiths, “but to provide a snapshot, a number of students achieved all grades 9-7 including Chloe Fung, Abby Lee, Alex Lyle, Tom Philpott, Adrian Raileanu, Akshaj Ravuri, Grace Robinson and Arav Sahoo.”

Special mention is also given to Marco Au who received 7 9s, Halex Yip, Lucas Verzuu, Ethan Tatum and Kenji Lai who achieved 6 9s as well as Imogen Baker, Jamie Walton and Joseph Clark who gained 5 grade 9s.

“We are also extremely proud of our students at all levels,” Mr Griffiths said.

“Some who have made significant progress in their time with us include Andrei Sichitiu, Thomas Roberts, Sophie Drake, Austin Richards, Isabelle Elliott and Isaac Marrison.

“As a school, we are committed to ensuring that education is more than simply the grades that appear on a piece of paper.

“We want to ensure we have developed our students into well-rounded young adults, prepared to enter the next stage of their lives.”

The headteacher thanks the whole school community for choosing to be part of the St Crispin’s family.

To all the school’s Year 11 students he said: “We look forward to hearing about all of your future success, and are thrilled to be welcoming so many of you into our sixth form in September.”
